Magnolias & Mustard Seeds

I don’t know About you but I love the new year! I’m excited and galvanized by the prospect of a brand new start. There is something so great about a reset! With the new year comes a new look and a new name for the blog, Magnolias & Mustard Seeds. Up to now I’ve been trying to figure out what this site’s identity should be. I’ve been asking myself, “what am I trying to say?” Now, I know. I want to say that God loves you. YOU! He has a plan for you. Putting your faith in Christ is just the first step on a spiritual journey that will last the rest of your life. It’s going to be amazing. It’s going to be hard. You’re going to face trials, and you’re going to wrestle with God. Even so, you are going to experience the love of a God that is bigger, kinder, holier, and more perfect than we can comprehend!

I also want you to know that you are not alone. My hope is that, as I share my experiences and thoughts, other women will be encouraged. My honest desire is to somehow provide an honest perspective from a modern day Christian woman. I want to be real about my struggles and questions so that others know that we can be REAL with God and with one another. I’m not perfect. I’m a work in progress. I hope that we can be works in progress together!

I will continue to share my Bible art and devotional thoughts, but I will also make an effort to share more of my struggles and, more importantly, how the Lord is guiding me through them. I’m going to be more intentional with the blog and my writing, and more consistent.  My earnest prayer is that this blog might grow into a ministry that God can use for His glory.  Not that it’s anything special, but it is what I have.   So, it is what I will give.

I hope you like the new name and the new look. As always, I welcome your feedback and covet your prayers.

In Christ,

Sarah B

  1. I absolutely LOVE the new name and the new look. I am also excited about the New Year and New Beginnings. 2018 brought the worst pain imaginable to a mothers heart; but God, Family and Friends have carried me through. I look forward to the encouraging blogs you will post. I long for the closer walk with God and finding my life’s journey until He returns to gather His good and faithful servants.
